Blood On The Leaves
One of the obvious standout tracks on the album, “Blood On The Leaves,” is still a monster record. Kanye’s cries at the start are reminiscent of 808s, but then those horns come in. Those horns, though! The horns KLC, Corey Miller and Calvin Broadus made famous. That’s that triumphant sound that’s making a comeback right now. “Trophies” and “We Made It” have the same feeling, and Drake is once again riding a sound wave that Kanye created (if not reinterpreted and brought back.)
