5. Leather Corduroys – Season
We waited more than a few seasons for the official debut from the duo of Joey Purp and Kami, otherwise known as Leather Corduroys. But it was worth the wait, indeed. These two have an unspoken chemistry within the SaveMoney crew, and they set themselves apart from the pack with Season.
Both are more than equipped lyrically, and they stepped beyond their traditional boundaries with the project; toying with funk, dance and even house. It’s avant garde, and it’s great. It’s incredibly entertaining, and is a project that more people should be celebrating. These two should on everyone’s radar at this point. ‘Tis the Season.
