To say that Lupe’s Tetsuo & Youth LP was well worth the wait would be an understatement. Lu’s fifth studio album impacted at the top of the year and still remains in rotation. Originally set to be released in 2014, Tetsuo & Youth proved that Lu hadn’t lost a step and was still a problem in the booth.
Entrusting S1 and DJ Dahi with a bulk of the production, Lupe was provided with the perfect soundscapes to do what he does best and Lu surely came correct. If you snoozed, just give this album a listen and be ready to rewind every record on there.
