Keef displayed candidness, admitting he knew his behavior would get him dropped from Interscope — even adding that he was only in it for the money. Perhaps Alki David might be a good fit for Keef; they seem to have similar sensibilities (so much so that Keef even said “he be me”) and wealth to inform their successes.
Much of the press conference was silly: Keef discussed his childhood interest in drawing and his upcoming paintball partners Justin Bieber and Dan Balzarian (with an adorable mispronunciation of his name) before shooting down an ill-informed comparison to Fetty Wap. He discussed an interest in acting (like A$AP did in Dope) as well as an interest in producing a video game.

The mood was serious when he was asked about Chicago, which offered an eerie portal to news that would shortly break after the press conference: Glo Gang rapper and Chief Keef affiliate Capo was shot and killed just one day later.
“I’m with the Stop The Violence campaign. That’s why I paintball,” said Keef. “But it’s crazy back home. I’m glad to be someone that people look up to and listen to and I’m glad that I’m able to change the situation and scenery that’s going around in Chicago. And I love my city still, but it’s crazy.”
Suddenly, as quick as it started, the interview was over. There was no hologram performance. As I left the building, a Hollywood tour bus drove by with the goofy enthusiasm from its patrons radiating over me. I was disappointed, yes, but mostly inspired by the absurdity of a Friday evening in Los Angeles.
