Kweku Collins – Stupid Rose
Directed by Cody LaPlant
Anyone who knows me knows that I lose all objectivity/common sense when it comes to D’Angelo, so I was a little worried that the fact that he sampled “One Mo’Gin” was the only reason I thought this video was dope. But then the Andrew that runs this site reaffirmed that the video was dope so I knew I wasn’t crazy. So yeah. This video is dope. They really brought the song to life and spliced in wild clips of Kweku’s mega talents on the skateboard.
Joseph Chilliams f/ MFn Melo – Buck
Directed by Joseph Chilliams and Jude Appleby
1. This Christmas-themed video came out on June 4th
2. The family at 0:35 was NOT having it
3. Joseph Chilliams dance moves during MFN Melo’s verse had me ROLLING
LMAOOO at this whole video. Comedy in music videos is so underrated in 2016. Plus the actual song is actually pretty funny too.
Actually, this video is completely insane.

Smino – blkjuptr
Directed by Caves
A GREAT first video. The “blkjuptr” clip is extremely striking and appealing visually, and it has a tight concept/storyline. It’s also kinda complex (or maybe I’m just an idiot, but I had to watch it three times to figure out what was going on). Smino really set the bar high with this as a debut video.
ALSO @SMINO IF YOU READ THIS, HMU IF YOU WANNA DO AN INTERVIEW
Vic Mensa – There’s A Lot Going On
Directed by Jake Osmun and Vic Mensa
Simple yet effective. There’s not a lot going on in the video (HA!), but that allows us to focus on Vic himself, and see just how much this song means to him. Just like with the Ibn Inglor video, you can just see how much passion Vic put into writing this song by how passionately he’s rapping in the video.
