Interlude (That’s Love)
On “Interlude,” Chance makes his only attempt at an interlude on the project, which switches tones dramatically from the last song. Giving off vibes of 10 Day’s “Hey Ma” in the loving sense, Chano passes on the glamor life some try to achieve, and takes a more simple route. He realizes, even at his age, that it’s not all about clubbing and publicity — it’s about being with your family and getting lost in the average activities.
He gives us his final words as a repetition of a classic “I love you,” a term lost in meaninglessness nowadays. The way he delivers it in the song and live shows connects to the listener in an indescribable way that pays off big time with him flexing his diversity here.
