Simply put: DBC are ready for the big leagues. Jeezy saw it. That’s why he quickly scooped them up. The faction, consisting of Payroll Giovanni, Big Quis, Doughboy Roc, Kiddo and Doughboy Dre had one of the most productive and consistent years out of any crew in hip-hop. They dropped a stellar group tape, as well as solo shots from each and every member (sans Dre), that fans of high quality street rap should be gushing over.
They have an extremely unique and polished sound, and their music is exquisitely mixed and sequenced, while their bars and presentation is light-years ahead of many of their peers. They’re hometown heroes in the D, but their sound has yet to really break nationwide and that’s a damn shame. They might run their city (Vol. 4!!) but now it’s time they run the country. These guys got it.
