FSD Feature: 20 Dope Songs In Chicago-New York Collaboration History

Posted on August 27, 2014 by FSD Staff

Consequence f/ GLC & Really Doe “Disperse” (2007)

An amazing pairing of the first incarnation of the G.O.O.D. Music family. Those were truly the days. “Disperse” comes from Consequences lone studio album, 2007’s Don’t Quit Your Day Job! On the laid back track, Con is at his best, and GLC and Really Doe add two smooth verses. You can tell how much fun they had recording the song — it truly bleeds through. The Koolade-produced track samples Rhythm’s 1976 “The World is a Place.”

The video is the true crown jewel, however. As it was filmed on the road during 2008’s epic Glow In The Dark Tour, and features cameos from Kanye, IBN Jasper, Lupe Fiasco, The Neptunes, Famlay and Strings (extra props if you know her).
