15. Kanye West f/ Pusha T “Runaway” (2010)

Album: My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy

Kanye West (feat Pusha T) – Runaway (CDQ)

Though “Runaway” starts rather innocuously with an isolated piano, it becomes apparent immediately that this is no “I’m Different.” The song billows into grand orchestration that stays anchored to the single note that kicked it off. I’m not sure what note it is, but I’m sure it was chosen for a reason. Sometimes a song is so ambitious and imposing that it becomes impossible to describe it without using words that make you sound corny.

However, I’m sure I haven’t circumevented that fact just by acknowledging it. From its clean, minimal beginning through its devolution into cathartic, unintelligible vocoder singing, this one will have people failing to describe it for years to come.

Even though he sold it, “We Gone Make It” by Jadakiss should’ve been on the list

pretty sure DJ Toomp made “Cant Tell Me Nothing”… it was originally a Jeezy song, whikch is why the ad-lib is there… thats bad, since you have it as his #1 beat… I could be wrong though

The song was produced by kanye AND dj toomp. plus kanye always has a bunch of people do additional vocals and what have you. that does not mean the song was originally for them. he could have had dj toomp take off the ad-libs if he really didnt want it there.

“Live Fast, Die Young” should have made top 5, and it’s not even on the list.

You can definitely see your skills within the paintings you write. The arena hopes for more passionate writers such as you who are not afraid to mention how they believe. Always follow your heart. NPVNLRITBUBOXDYJA
