12. Kanye West & Jay-Z “Otis” (2011)
Album: Watch The Throne
No I.D. had some criticism of Watch the Throne before it was finished, he’d had enough of the overproduction and co-production that, to some degree, was muddling the composition of WTT. What he wanted was a track, solely produced by Kanye, that proved to the hip hop old world that the Throne was still aware of its existence. It’s a boom-bap crowd pleaser that was able to turn a soul sample, “Try a Little Tenderness,” by the song’s namesake, into a swag-infused, expensive shit praising radio hit, an aesthetic corroborated by the models and mutilated Maybach of the music video.
What The Big O of soul would have thought of his name being in the name of the song twice (“Otis” feat. Otis Redding), we can only guess. What we know for absolute certain is that he would have bumped this shit on the dock of a bay in Havana, with four Hublots on one wrist and five Audemars on the other.

Even though he sold it, “We Gone Make It” by Jadakiss should’ve been on the list
Alchemist made we gone make it.
pretty sure DJ Toomp made “Cant Tell Me Nothing”… it was originally a Jeezy song, whikch is why the ad-lib is there… thats bad, since you have it as his #1 beat… I could be wrong though
The song was produced by kanye AND dj toomp. plus kanye always has a bunch of people do additional vocals and what have you. that does not mean the song was originally for them. he could have had dj toomp take off the ad-libs if he really didnt want it there.
“Live Fast, Die Young” should have made top 5, and it’s not even on the list.
This list must of been made by a 15 year old hipster
