Something about the juxtaposition of synths and strings on “Flashing Lights” captures, sonically, the Murakami visuals put forth by Graduation. A beauty of hip hop is its ability to seamlessly connect the old with the new, whether that means pinning instruments from centuries ago against modern sound machines or using classic hip hop elements for new school concepts. Kanye’s facility with just that has contributed to much of his success with both critics and mainstream audiences.
He’s able to grab whatever he finds interesting, which in this case comes from Curtis Mayfield’s “Little Child Runnin’ Wild,” and gather it forth into a rap song. The story goes that he met members of the group Sneaky Sound System in an Australian diner, from which he came up with the idea to collaborate with Connie Mitchell, whose voice lends a unique ominous layer to the track.

Even though he sold it, “We Gone Make It” by Jadakiss should’ve been on the list
Alchemist made we gone make it.
pretty sure DJ Toomp made “Cant Tell Me Nothing”… it was originally a Jeezy song, whikch is why the ad-lib is there… thats bad, since you have it as his #1 beat… I could be wrong though
The song was produced by kanye AND dj toomp. plus kanye always has a bunch of people do additional vocals and what have you. that does not mean the song was originally for them. he could have had dj toomp take off the ad-libs if he really didnt want it there.
“Live Fast, Die Young” should have made top 5, and it’s not even on the list.
This list must of been made by a 15 year old hipster
