FSD Feature: 10 Essential Bop Songs Of 2014

Posted on December 10, 2014 by FSD Staff

Sicko Mobb – Trophies

Sicko Mobb kept quiet for most of 2014, no doubt working on their Polo Grounds debut. The few tracks they did slip out are potent reminders why these guys are the biggest name bop has produced yet. “Trophies” is a perfect encapsulation of these guys’ strength, namely melody. The chorus imprints immediately, on a triumphant melody that espouses how awed Lil’ Trav and Ceno are at signing with a major label. If Sicko Mobb can keep putting out gems like this, they’ll make their new bosses at Sony very happy someday.

Props to Bop for surviving that time when A$AP Ferg nearly killed it by guesting on the Fiesta remix.

But why isn’t the actual best Bop song of 2014 in this list – Don’t Shoot by Heaven & Lil’ Chris????
