17. Brian Fresco “I Meant It” (2013)

If he said, he meant it. Besides lessons in causality, this song teaches you about Save Money versatility. This is more reminscent of drill-scene Chicago than most other SM songs, primarily because Block On Da Trakk (who has produced for Sasha Go Hard, Katie Got Bandz, King Louie, etc.) is indeed on the track. But more importantly, it stands a testament to the idea of permeability between scenes and sounds in Chicago. Hence, you could put representatives of Save Money, MUBU, and GBE together on a song and it could totally make sense. Besides, keeping what you “said” and what you “meant” in alignment is also a huge part of keeping it 300, as well as manning/banding up.
