14. Rockie Fresh – Electric Highway
Rockie’s MMG coming out party was Electric Highway — and his first tape as a major label artist delivered and only raised Rockie’s stock. Rockie dropped three solid offerings in 2013, the other two being Fresh Veggies (with Casey Veggies) and The Birthday Tape, both of which found Rockie mastering his sound even further. Both tapes are worth checking out, but Electric Highway truly defines who Rockie is as an artist and hopefully shapes the trajectory of his career. It had a certain swing to it. An airy appeal.
