25. Rashid Hadee – CNS Vol. 3: Don’t Care
Back in 2009, Rashid Hadee put together one of the most creative, well thought-out and successfully executed projects of the year with 808s & Hadee. The project flipped songs from Kanye’s 808s & Heartbreak and made an entirely new project from the remains. By and large, it was pretty genius and extremely innovative. In the interim, we’ve heard a few new projects from Hadee, but we’ve been patiently waiting on another Chopped Not Screwed from the rapper/producer.
Thankfully, Hadee reemerged with the third edition, CNS Vol 3: Don’t Care, which skillfully flipped Drake’s 2011 masterpiece, Take Care. Hadee, yet again, seamlessly sprinkled his Chicago flavor all over chopped up samples of the project in question. The results? Another creative piece of art. The time, effort, work and skill that went into this should be celebrated. Mr. Hadee is one talented human being.
