28. Add-2 & Kyrisis – Between Heaven & Hell

Add-2 has been making noise in Chicago’s underground for years, and this year his hard work finally paid off, as he inked a record deal with legendary producer 9th Wonder. Add is now the new face of 9th’s Jamla label, and to celebrate this occasion Add linked with former Justus League beatsmith Khrysis for a collaborative EP sponsored by LRG.

We’ve always thought Khrysis was highly underrated as a producer back when he frequently worked with Little Brother, so his pairing with Add was very much welcomed. Although only nine tracks deep, the 9th Wonder-exec-produced project was enough to show Add-2 has beaucoup chemistry with his second family in North Carolina. Add’s paid his dues, so it’s nice seeing him recoup on that.
