How do you make a song about losing it all sound so good? Well, you get No ID and his long-time collaborator/friend Jermaine Dupri for starters. “Fallin” was the point on Jay’s American Gangster album when the empire started to crumble — the house of cards was falling. And instead of trying to hide it, Jay put his ego to the side and talked about the other side of the game: the come down. It was honest, and so necessary. Ball till you fall. But it needed a specific beat in order for it to work, and the ID/JD combination did just that.

    Crazy how No ID seemes to just stay so synonymous in his production with Hip-Hop regardless of the style and changes of mainstream music.
