10. No ID f/ Dug Infinite & Common “State To State” (1997)
One of the great treasures of Chicago hip-hop is No ID’s one and only album, Accept Your Own And Be Yourself (The Black Album), which dropped in tandem with Common’s One Day It’ll All Make Sense in 1997. Common and No ID were at their very best in this era, as it was the last time the two would work almost exclusively together for another 10+ years. No ID’s debut was unfairly overshadowed by Com’s project, but those that copped were treated to a cohesive and endearing album, featuring amazing production and thought-provoking rhymes from Dion and Dug Inf. The Run DMC-sampled “State To State” featuring Common was the albums crown jewel.

Crazy how No ID seemes to just stay so synonymous in his production with Hip-Hop regardless of the style and changes of mainstream music.
