47. Rhymefest f/ Bump J & Mikkey Halsted “Chicagorillas” (2006)
After Kanye came through and crushed the buildings in 2004, label reps caught the first thing smoking to Chicago in search for the next Ye — the city had to be filled with them, right? It was similar to what happened after the Keef explosion of 2012.
The labels came and snagged some of Chicago’s finest, with Rhymefest, Mikkey Halsted and Bump J being three of the first to sign on the dotted line. They were crowned next up out of the city, so it made sense to toss all three on the cleverly named “Chicagorillas” and talk some Chicago street shit over this rugged and raw No ID beat. A whole EP of this would’ve been excellent.

Crazy how No ID seemes to just stay so synonymous in his production with Hip-Hop regardless of the style and changes of mainstream music.
i figured “The Real Weight” would be in the top 5.. but it didn’t even make your list. You, my friend are retarded. Corky, not Shante retarded.
