19. Nas “Daughters” (2012)
Real rap. Grown man music. Nas was in that zone for his last album, the critically acclaimed Life Is Good. On the album, Nas explored real life topics and sensitive subjects that had never before been addressed in rap music. And who provided the soundtrack for that? No ID, that’s who. The most meaningful of these records was the heartfelt “Daughters,” which found Nas discussing fatherhood and all of the challenges and pitfalls that come with it.
In this day and age, it’s rare that you hear music with a real message on the radio or on TV, but Nas and No ID successfully made that happen with “Daughters.” Not since Pac had this been executed correctly. This is a very important song.

Crazy how No ID seemes to just stay so synonymous in his production with Hip-Hop regardless of the style and changes of mainstream music.
i figured “The Real Weight” would be in the top 5.. but it didn’t even make your list. You, my friend are retarded. Corky, not Shante retarded.
