12. G-Unit “Smile” (2003)
After parting ways with Common in the late-90s, No ID went underground for a few years, but reemerged in 02-04 with huge placements on major label releases from Jay Z, Ghostface and G-Unit. Back when G-Unit was on top of the world, and they could do no wrong musically, Dion gave Lloyd Banks arguably the biggest crossover record from the Beg For Mercy album, “Smile.” The track would be released as a single in the spring of 2004, and was the perfect set up for Lloyd’s solo debut which was dropping a few months later.
The clever flip of Syreeeta’s “I Too Am Waiting,” would further push G-Unit into the category of tough guys who could make records for the ladies that also appealed to the fellas.

Crazy how No ID seemes to just stay so synonymous in his production with Hip-Hop regardless of the style and changes of mainstream music.
