2. Kanye West “Heartless” (2008)
Kanye West has shifted the course of music countless times. But one of his most monumental moments was with “Heartless” back in 2008. After name dropping his mentor, No ID, on 2007’s “Big Brother,” the two long-time friends and friendly rivals got back in the lab to craft Ye’s game changing opus, 808s & Heartbreak. Their biggest track from the 808s sessions? “Heartless,” which would go on to sell almost six million copies, and topped various Billboard charts. The song not only won commercially, but was also the catalyst for a new sound in hip-hop, one that ushered in new era stars such as Drake and Future. You can thank No ID for that.

Crazy how No ID seemes to just stay so synonymous in his production with Hip-Hop regardless of the style and changes of mainstream music.
