When No ID began working with Kanye again in 2008/2009, he was murdering everything moving. Dion’s sound heavily influenced the work we heard on 808s & Heartbreak, and his fingerprints were all over hits like “Swagga Like Us.” There was so much great music being made at that time, some of it went criminally unnoticed and at the top of that list is Mikkey Halsted’s “Get Money.”

The track took elements from 808s & “Swagga” and the outcome was this monster of a track. Rumor has it that Jay Z wanted it for the Blueprint 3, but luckily Mikk was able to keep the record for himself. It would finally get an official release in 2010, when The Cool Kids and Miss Criss jumped on it. An uncrowned classic.

Crazy how No ID seemes to just stay so synonymous in his production with Hip-Hop regardless of the style and changes of mainstream music.
